Director of Optical R&D at X Photonics, Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Cardiff University, UK. He has a research background in scintillator fluorescent materials, optical micro-nano structures, and photonic crystal materials. After joining X Photonics, he has been responsible for the research and development of high-power semiconductor lasers, new direct-output semiconductor laser systems, and semiconductor laser chips.
Dr. Ding Liang
CTO
During his Ph.D., he worked on the assembly and detection of soft X-ray and extreme ultraviolet composite telescopes, and the imaging quality of soft X-ray grazing incidence telescopes. Participated in the development of X-ray pulsar navigation optical system, microchannel plate (MCP) imaging performance research, spherical reflection coronagraph development and experimental analysis, CE-3 (Chang'e-3) extreme ultraviolet imager.

Ph.D. from East China Normal University. Main responsibilities during Ph.D.: Establishing electro-optic frequency combs, designing and building spatial optical paths. Achieving high-speed imaging of the test object by controlling the temporal pulse of the laser. Involved projects: Mid-to-far infrared optical frequency combs and molecular fingerprint optical comb spectroscopy; high-speed, super-resolution broadband coherent Raman optical comb spectroscopy and imaging; broad spectrum, ultra-high resolution multi-comb spectroscopy.

Bachelor's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Southampton - Optoelectronics Research Centre. Involved projects: Research on focusing uniformity of high-power semiconductor laser rectangular spot; development of 1.65-micrometer wavelength single-photon detectors for gas detection; semiconductor devices and applications in nonlinear photonics. Invention patent: Semiconductor laser spectral beam combining device and method based on collimating-deflecting elements.
